  Stand-Off - TVC

One of three commercials aimed at the Pakistani population to identify the Talian not as the value holder of Islam but as the terrorists and criminals they are in most cases. Pakistani’s sympathise with Taliban for many different reasons. Most important one is because they simply hate the current ruling regime especially the army and police. The objective of this film is to tell the Pakistanis that the Talibans are actually their enemies and not - as they so often claim in the name of Islam- their allies.

We found the perfect location for this clip; an old, decaying empty square with an seemingly even older and withering Mosque. Today the square is only used as a car park so we had all the freedom to create and set up a bustling Pakistani market/ town centre which is attacked and terrorised by a gang of Taliban. This time the villagers stick together and the gang of Taliban have to retreat defeated.
